Subject: Reset Lotus Notes client password (no ID vault)
Feedback Type: Question
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Administration
Platform: Not Applicable
Release: 8.5.3
Reproducible: Not applicable
I am new to Lotus administration and need some help resetting a Lotus Notes client password for a user. In our environment, we only have a couple people who use the Notes client, so this rarely happens.
My user used to be able to log into the Notes client, but since getting a new PC, I had to reload the Notes client and Designer on her PC and now she doesn't remember what her password was for Notes. I need to reset (or recover) her password, but I'm not sure how to. I found a suggestion to use the "Extract Recovery Password" feature in Administrator, but I received an error "Nonexistent or invalid recovery information." We are not using an "ID Vault" in our environment, if that matters.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
